How to Get Your Name to Appear in the Report

Your name and other inspector details appear in generated reports through placeholders embedded in your report template documents. When a report is generated, each placeholder is automatically replaced with the corresponding value from your account or the inspection.

Step 1: Confirm Your Profile Information

Make sure your name is filled in your Agile Inspections account profile. The placeholders pull from the following fields:

  • InspectorFirstName — your first name
  • InspectorLastName — your last name
  • InspectorCompanyName — your company name
  • InspectorEmail — your email address
  • InspectorPhone — your phone number
  • InspectorLicense — your license number

Step 2: Add Placeholders to Your Template

Open your .docx report template in any application that supports Word documents (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice). Type the placeholder name exactly as shown — for example, InspectorFirstName — wherever you want that value to appear in the report. No special formatting, brackets, or syntax is required; just the plain text name.

Step 3: Upload the Updated Template

Upload the updated .docx file to Report Document Management. On the next report you generate, the placeholders will be replaced with your actual information.
